Collograph Printmaking Workshop with Charles Shearer
There will be a maximum of 6 people on this course
ABOUT THE COURSE:
Learn how to make collographs from an outstanding practitioner. Use mark making,
paper textures and cut shapes for plates to create exciting prints.
This course is suitable for all levels. Please wear old clothes or bring an apron.
ABOUT THE TUTOR:
Born in Kirkwall, Orkney in 1956 Charles Shearer studied at Gray’s School of Art, Aberdeen and at the Royal College of Art, London, specialising there in illustration. Since graduating in 1983, he has taught at numerous art schools whilst continuing with his own practice.
Charles will often draw and paint on location in a process he describes as ‘creative interpretation of place and experience’.
Charles now teaches printmaking in numerous art schools and works on commissions for books and magazines, such as Faber & Faber, poetry and prose magazine Ambit, and books by the poet George Mackay Brown.

To avoid double booking, please email us if you have sent a cheque. Confirmation of your place will be made by email within a week of receiving payment.
Terms and Conditions:
Bookings are only confirmed on receipt of the full cost of the course. The balance must be paid 28 days before the course starts. If full payment is not made, you risk losing your place on the course & will not be allowed to start the course.
The sum of £50, will be lost If you cancel at short notice (less than 2 weeks before the course start). If your place cannot be filled, no monies will be returned.
Please note that it is sometimes necessary for tutors to be passed your e-mail address for the purpose of running the workshop.
