Jo Biggadike

During my recently completed Master’s in illustration, my work focused on walking within my local landscape. Walking has since become an important part of my process.; I want to capture the feeling that a place evokes and what it is to be a woman walking within it. It is as much about this emotion as it is about the appearance. All my work is created from my drawings whilst out walking which I then interpreted through my printmaking. I originally trained and worked as a textile designer before falling in love with the printmaking process. My prints are mainly collagraphs but I also work in lino and etching. Through these techniques I create colourful and richly textured limited-edition prints.
