Etching with Christine Felce
There will be a maximum of 6 people on this course
Every Tuesday 17th April to 22nd May 9.30am – 12.30pm
ABOUT THE COURSE:
This 6 week course in etching is suitable for beginners and those who want to develop their technique. The course starts with combining hard & soft grounds and then develops to using aqua tint resin to create light and shade on your plates.
We will be using Zinc plates and traditional etching materials . You will learn how to use sugar lift, a painterly technique often used by Picasso in his etchings.
We will experiment with inking with à la poupée and top rolling your plate with transparent inks to create multi coloured etchings.
Bring your drawings, photographs, newspaper clippings or anything to inspire you.
