Christine Felce
Christine is an artist printmaker and film maker who works mainly with mixed media printmaking. Christine likes to experiment with colour and found objects for example car gaskets or plant material, bringing things together in a collage of print techniques. Print based installations. Teaching and sharing skills are an important part of her work, teaching etching, screen printing and collagraph locally in Gloucestershire. She has also taught printmaking at West Dean College and Zanzibar. She has recently completed an installation entitled Activist Alphabet consisting of 26 prints and poems motivated by the climate crisis, which is now in a book and beingexhibited internationally. Christine was awarded the Aetna Award by Hamilton Museum of Letterpress Ohio 2024 also an exhibition of part of the Activist Alphabet at The RAI in Amsterdam in 2025 She is currently working on a project about landscape Land and protest. With her installation print Land Acquired. She also wants to make work that high lights the unjust treatment of Palestinians. She has been collecting funds from sales to give to MAP [Medical Aid for Palestine]. Print installation Under The Weight of Flowers is about grief and loss inspired by theloss that the current wars are creating. Christine’s work takes inspiration from current affairs, she is drawn to make work about images and situations she feels passionately about.
